Toni Richards

Born and raised in Camden, New Jersey, Toni Richards fell in love with the stage at a very early age. Her desire to perform came to fruition during her college years as she worked with various theatre troops and theaters in the Baltimore Metropolitan area.

She has been blessed to perform in a number of musicals both locally and regionally. Some of her favorite roles and productions she has appeared in are: Closer Than Ever (Woman 2), Little Shop of Horrors (Ronnette), Leader of the Pack (Featured Vocalist), Once On This Island (Asaka), 1940’s Radio Hour (Geneva Brown), Back to Bacharach & David, My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra, A Raisin in the Sun (Beneatha) and All Shook Up (Sylvia). She has also been privileged to perform with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Her most recent role was that of Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill, for which she received rave reviews.

Toni is also an accomplished cabaret performer who has entertained audiences in Philadelphia, Atlantic City, and New York. While able to sing almost any musical genre, her favorite style is that of The Great American Songbook. Her voice has a quality that is temperate, soothing, and enchanting. Her vocal style has been described as mesmerizing, fluid, and meaningful. Toni injects a dose of warmth, style, elegance, and charm that can only be compared to the likes of Streisand, Sinatra, and Ella. For an evening of romance and sizzle, Toni is sure to deliver.
