ENCORES! Features our Musical Director, Jeff McDonnell, and Tyler Houchins, a new addition to the Open Hearts’ talent roster. Jeff is a versatile and accomplished performer, arranger, and accompanist. He has been performing throughout the greater Delaware Valley region and In New York for 40 years. A master of many genres, Jeff charms audiences of all ages.
Tyler Houchins is a Philadelphia-based actor and singer. His recent stage credits include Hamlet (REV Theatre Co.), The Light Princess (Arden Theatre Co.), and A Christmas Carol (Walnut Street Theatre). Tyler has recently spent quite a bit of time on the cabaret stage, most recently with Bacharach to the Future and his second solo show, Down a Yellow Brick Road: The Music of Judy Garland. Tyler’s first love is music, and he is always thrilled to share that love with audiences.
A Taste of Música de Amor with Víctor Rodríguez!
Víctor Rodríguez, Philadelphia teaching artist and performer, has worked in the Arts for over 25 years. Víctor is a vocalist of Cuban/Colombian heritage, and a graduate of the Musical Theater Program at the New World School of the Arts in Miami, Fl and Jazz Studies at the University of The Arts, Philadelphia, PA. He has performed extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe.
Arriba! Come celebrate the Latin American composers of Cuba, Argentina, México, Puerto Rico, and more. Returning to his ancestral roots of his parents and past generations, Víctor honors the sentimental music that once graced the recital halls, air waves, and Victrolas of Spanish-language society. The show Includes well-known favorites such as “Bésame Mucho”, “Guantanamera”, and “Perfidia”. Be romanced and lured by the rhythms of Latin America as you revisit the language of love.
